Flight Requirements

By the end of flight training, you'll log at least 200 hours total time (including PPL time), including:

  • 100 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
  • 20 hours VFR cross-country as PIC
  • 5 hours night flying including cross-country
  • 5 hours on a complex airplane

Practical Experience

Gain comprehensive flight experience across all rating requirements.

  • 540 km (300 NM) cross-country with full-stop landings at two other aerodromes
  • 5 solo night take-offs and landings
  • Instrument flight training and procedures

Course Curriculum & Typical Duration

Plan your path to becoming an airline pilot

PPL Theory

≈ 6 weeks

Foundation knowledge covering Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge, Flight Performance & Planning, Human Performance, Meteorology, Navigation, Operational Procedures, and Principles of Flight.

ATPL Theory

≈ 26 weeks

Advanced theoretical knowledge for airline operations including 14 EASA ATPL subjects. Covers airline procedures, advanced navigation, meteorology, and operational management.

Night Rating (NR)

≈ 3 days

Extends PPL privileges to night VFR operations. Includes night navigation, emergency procedures, and visual illusions specific to night flying.

Instrument Rating (IR)

≈ 6 weeks

Qualify for IFR flight operations in instrument meteorological conditions. Master instrument procedures, approaches, and navigation systems.

Multi-Engine Piston (MEP)

≈ 3 weeks

Extend privileges to multi-engine aircraft. Learn engine-out procedures, asymmetric flight, and complex aircraft systems management.

Commercial Pilot License (CPL)

≈ 3 weeks

Final step to become a professional pilot. Achieve the precision and skill required for commercial flight operations and airline careers.

Entry Requirements

Prerequisites to enroll in the EASA 0 to ATPL program

Minimum Age

17 years old minimum at the start of training.

Medical

Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.

Academics & English

Be proficient in English, Math & Physics.
